Nelson E. Smith, DDS

Dr. Smith received his undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, in 1977 and graduated from Case Western Reserve School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland in 1981. After completing his residency at St. Vincent Hospital in 1982, Dr. Smith established his own practice in Fremont in1985. He continues his postgraduate education with a variety of courses each year.

Dr. Smith and his wife, Ann, have two daughters in college. Away from the office, he enjoys boating, golfing, and fishing.

With a well-trained office staff, state-of-the-art technology, and a commitment to the Fremont community, Dr. Smith values his patients’ health and happiness.

 

Brooke Roberts, Hygienist

Brooke, a 2004 graduate of Owens Community College, joined our office as a hygienist right out of school. Brooke lives with her husband, Tom, and their two children in Gibsonburg. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and working out at the YMCA with her family.

 

 

 

Heather Militello, Hygienist

Heather is a 1990 graduate of St. Joseph Central Catholic High School in Fremont. She received her bachelor of science degree from Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio in 1995. As one of two hygienists in our office, Heather has been a valuable member of Dr. Smith's staff since 1996. She is married to Pat, and they have three young children. Heather enjoys supporting her children in their activities and reading great books.

 

Debbie Piercefield, Office Manager

Debbie joined our office in 2004 and brought a long history of working in the healthcare field. Her insurance background contributes to her overall expertise at the front desk. Along with her husband, Tim, Debbie lives in Oak Harbor and has two adult daughters and one granchild. She joins the rest of Dr. Smith's staff at the local YMCA, keeping a regular workout routine to stay in shape.

 

 

Teresa Celek, EFDA

Teresa has assisted Dr. Smith for more than a decade. Continuing professional education earned her the title of EFDA, increasing her chairside expertise and responsibilities. Teresa and her husband, Jim, reside in Fremont and spend time together ballroom dancing. They have two adult children. In her spare time, Teresa enjoys cycling, volleyball, and scrapbooking. Along with rest of Dr. Smith's staff, Teresa keeps in shape at the local YMCA.

 

 

Teri Hansard, Dental Assistant

Teri recently joined our office in May. She attended the Ohio Institute of Health Careers. She has been in the dental field since 2005. Teri enjoys working on and riding dirt bikes. Her favorite past times include attending swap meets and Vintage Motorcycle Days with her father. Teri resides in Bellevue with John along with their 4 dogs.
